Unsound share more details on 'Surprise' theme after selling out in 10 minutes this morning

Having sold out of full passes in a matter of minutes this morning without a single line-up announcement, Unsound have now shared further details on this year’s ’Surprise’ theme.

The initial press release shared a few weeks ago was mostly redacted in-keeping with this year’s theme. But apparently, “a Krakow-based photographer not affiliated to the festival put the Polish version of the press release through Photoshop to yield its secrets.” We now know, as a result, that only a certain number of acts at Unsound 2015 will be ‘surprises’, and they will be dotted throughout the program for this year’s festival. The pre-announced line-up will come almost entirely at once in August, when individual tickets for specific events taking place as part of the festival will go on sale. Says the latest press release on Unsound, “The aim is to play with perceptions: pre-show perception, performance perception and post-show perception. Do we listen different, when we do not know and/or cannot see who is performing? How do our expectations affect the value we place on music?” Unsound 2015 takes place in Krakow, Poland from October 11-18. Passes are sold out, but for the few details that are available so far about this year’s event, head here.
