Steve Reich – Music for a Large Ensemble / Octet
Great music for a train journey, this one. Or for looking at cells through a microscope. It has a particularly optimistic mood to it. Indeed, I listened to this album a lot after a close relative died as it was one of just a handful of things that could neutralise the pain. It changes the light of a room, always for the better.
