Fresh from announcing his first album in almost five years, Carrie & Lowell, last month, Sufjan Stevens has premiered album track ‘No Shade In The Shadow Of The Cross’ – that’s it above.
The track is prime Stevens fare and the YouTube video above comes accompanied with the track’s lyrics in the description. Carrie & Lowell is named after Stevens’ mother and stepfather and is about "life and death, love and loss, and the artist’s struggle to make sense of the beauty and ugliness of love".
