First full play of Italian lap steel guitarist's forthcoming self-titled EP

The second release from the newly-founded Bologna-based label Maple Death Records is the forthcoming self-titled, debut EP from Italian lap steel ambient guitar player Stromboli, which you can stream in full above.

Billed as a "dense, ambient propulsive opera created over the course of two years in Bologna", the six-track EP sits on the precipice between ambient and noise revealing both dark and tender moments over its 25+ minutes. The EP was recorded with his own four-track tape machine, a lap steel guitar and an "ancient" analogue organ. Stromboli was mastered by Brian Pyle of Ensemble Economique and will be available to buy as a limited edition (100 copies) yellow-ochre cassette tape, which you can pre-order here.
