Vintage track from Newham Generals man from new Butterz release

This week Butterz have put out Scars, a new release from Footsie, founding member of grime crew Newham Generals and Braindead Entertainment head honcho. It picks up three tracks that previously got airtime on his and DJ Tubby's Rinse FM show, though never got a physical release, including a couple of rare collaborations between Wiley and Newham Generals. Says Butterz co-founder Elijah: "Over the last 12 months we have worked with Footsie and D Double E really closely at Fabric, Outlook Festival, Notting Hill Carnival and our Jamz parties in Leeds and Manchester developing a unique synergy. As a mark of respect for being such a strong and positive influence on us and the rest of the scene, I wanted to commit some special music to wax for people that have seen us all together live to appreciate."

While it's a vinyl-only release (get hold of a copy here) Butterz have kindly given us a play of closer 'Prangman Remix', which sees Footsie joined by fellow Newham Generals, past and present, D Double E and Monkstar, alongside Bruza and Wiley - listen below. In related news, this Friday, January 16, is Butterz' first Fabric session this year, with Elijah & Skilliam bringing headliner Kano, Mr Mitch, Swindle and Spyro - get tickets here, and have a read of our interview with Elijah & Skilliam from last year while you're at it.
