Jimi Hendrix - The Essential Jimi Hendrix Volume Two
This has all the hits and the title says it all: essential. You cannot not have Jimi Hendrix in your top ten - you just can't. It's impossible. What can you say about Jimi Hendrix? I'm at a loss for words other than to say that he's a god. When people talk about a legend and a legacy - now we're talking. All the songs on there are phenomenal. The Jimi Hendrix Experience - backed by the trustees of the Hendrix estate - is coming to the desert soon and one of the guitar players travelling with them is Robbie Krieger. I've never heard anybody play Jimi's music live and I just have to see it.
