U2 To Release New LP Songs Of Innocence

U2 show absolutely no intention of letting creative stagnation stop them from releasing yet another album. The four piece are releasing Songs Of Innocence on October 13 via Island Records, the depressing news reaches us today.

The physical release follows the LP being given today to U2.com subscribers and over half a billion iTunes Music Store customers worldwide. Our thoughts are with them and their families at this difficult time.

The album was recorded in London, Dublin, New York, LA, Barnsley and The Night Garden. Producers on the LP include Danger Mouse, Paul Epworth, Ryan Tedder, Declan Gaffney, Dean Gafney, Pearl & Dean, Mike The Knight and Flood.

The track listing for the album is as follows:

‘The Miracle (Of Joey Ramone)’, ‘Every Breaking Wave’, ‘California (There Is No End To Love)’, ‘Song For Someone’, ‘Iris (Hold Me Close)’, ‘Volcano’, ‘Raised By Wolves’, ‘Cedarwood Road’, ‘Sleep Like A Baby Tonight’, ‘This Is Where You Can Reach Me Now’, ‘The Troubles’

At the time of publication it is not clear whether ‘The Troubles’ refers lyrically to the group’s treatment by the press when it became clear that they were Irish tax avoiders nonpareil recently.
