Tokyo post-rock quartet MONO are set to release not one, but two albums next month on Pelagic Records and 'Where We Begin', the first track to be revealed from the albums, is now available to stream above. Over seven minutes, 'Where We Begin' unfolds gracefully with majestic guitars carried along by slowly building, buried drum patterns, showcasing the "light side of this chapter in the MONO story".

Entitled The Last Dawn and Rays Of Darkness, the upcoming albums were recorded simultaneously in Pennsylvania in May of this year. The former is a relatively stripped-back affair, while the latter takes on a more altogether ominous tone - both are set for UK/European release on October 27. Of the decision to simultaneously release two albums, band member Taka says: "There were black and white sides inside of me, like darkness and hope. I felt they could not exist on the same album." MONO hit Europe in November and December for an extensive tour including dates in Leeds, Glasgow, and London.
