Photographer and Quietus contributor Greg Neate is opening his exhibition of photographs from 13 years of All Tomorrow's Parties at ATP Terminal tomorrow - here he gives us a taster, with images of Iggy & The Stooges, Dizzee Rascal, Neubauten and more

Dizzee Rascal, 2004
Like with the photograph of Boredoms, I was stunned when I printed this. It's all the more remarkable as I don't recall any moments of calm during Dizzee's set while I struggled to follow his constant movement. I likely settled on pointing my camera where I expected him to be and waited until he was somewhere near. It's incredibly fortunate that he chose to pause - for what must have been less than a second - in front of an offstage spotlight that lights up the left side of his face whilst his left hand tips his baseball cap.

This was taken on the last day of the second weekend of the Director's Cut ATPs when ATP, who curated that day, had the foresight to book the rising Mercury Prize-winning star. Much of the crowd had already left or gone to bed while I planned to drive back to Brighton after his set. I have other photographs of Dizzee taken with flash that are anything but atmospheric and show an audience that's worse for wear. Thus, remaining sober had a lot to do with getting this shot.
