Cassette Store Day returns this year on September 27, with the event building on last year's success and splitting itself across the UK, Europe and the US. Last year saw participants in over eighty cities worldwide with releases from The Flaming Lips, At The Drive-In, Deerhunter and many more. Kissability and Suplex Cassettes are running the UK/EU events, with Burger Records now coordinating the proceedings in the US.

Addressing the event's transatlantic expansion, Jen Long of Kissability says: "We really tried to keep cassette labels and fans and the heart of the event. Last year grew far bigger than we had expected so we are thrilled to have Burger involved to help us cover the US side." Burger Records also commented on their inclusion: "We've built our foundation on the forgotten format and have been preaching the merits of warm analogue cassette culture for years. We're honoured to be ambassadors of Cassette Store Day 2014 in the good ol' USA."

Stores eager to get involved can sign up for free between June 30 and August 15 at cassettestoreday.com and labels planning on releasing a cassette on the day can also sign up for a £10 fee.
