Wilco's Jeff Tweedy has announced the release of a new album as Tweedy, a two-man project with his son Spencer, report Pitchfork. Called Sukierae, it'll be out on Wilco's dBpm label on September 22, and has been trailed with 'I'll Sing It', which taps a similar intimate folk/gentle noisiness to Being There-era Wilco - take a listen below:

The track features Brooklyn indie-pop band Lucius' Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig on backing vocals and Scott McCaughey of The Young Fresh Fellows and previous Wilco collaborators The Minus 5 also plays keyboards on the record. Says Tweedy senior of the album: "When I set out to make this record, I imagined it being a solo thing, but not in the sense of one guy strumming an acoustic guitar and singing. Solo to me meant that I would do everything - write the songs, play all the instruments and sing. But Spencer's been with me from the very beginning demo sessions, playing drums and helping the songs take shape. In that sense, the record is kind of like a solo album performed by a duo."

Jeff and Spencer will be touring the US this month and next, beginning tonight at the Masonic Temple in Detroit; head to Wilco's website for full details.
