Rare appearance later this month

In a rare set of intimate shows, world-class New-Orleans composer Allen Toussaint will be making his club debut at legendary jazz hotspot Ronnie Scott’s on 14-15 April.

A prominent contributor to the American popular songbook, Toussaint’s songs have been recorded over the last four decades by the likes of Lee Dorsey, The Rolling Stones, The Neville Brothers, Frankie Miller, Robert Palmer, Lowell George, Otis Redding, Dr John, Irma Thomas and Elvis Costello, and many more. His hits include ‘All These Things’, ‘I Like It Like That’, ‘Working In The Coal Mine’, ‘Night People’, ‘Yes We Can’ and ‘Get Out Of Life Woman’.

Not only nominated for countless Grammys, Toussaint was awarded the National Medal of Arts in a special White House ceremony by Barack Obama. Watch this space for a tQ interview with the man himself.
