Kjetil's On The Boil: Arabrot's Favourite 13 LPs
Luke Turner , April 8th, 2014 10:19

As we gear up for a mighty basting at Desertfest, Arabrot main man Kjetil Nernes talks us through his 13 favourite albums

Jens Bjørneboe - Våpenløs
The great Norwegian adversary. The trilogy The History Of Bestiality not only changed my world but also introduced me to other favorites such as Huysmans and even Raymond Roussel. Not only does Bjørneboe debate the malignant nature of humanity but he has a Hemmingwayesque approach of describing marvellous European cultures through the fine foods and the fantastic wines of his travels. The good things in life. His poems are as intense as his prose and if you pay attention you'll hear the immense wisdom and knowledge just through the sound of his breathing and the stoical accuracy of his deliverance.
