Scott Walker - Tilt
The eerie persona of Scott Walker was just as much a puzzle to me as to anybody else. I had read Irene's Cunt and discovered Jaques Brel via Jean Ferrat chanting the Aragon quite a few years ago. Scott Walker's interpretations of Brel were good, but it wasn't until The Drift that I was caught by his conjurations. Tilt is to me his greatest achievement - all lyrical, all beauty.
