Listen to a new split release from Thought Forms and Esben & The Witch, released this week though Invada

This week, Geoff Barrow’s Bristol-based Invada label have continued the time-honoured two-bands-are-better-than-one format with the release of a split 12” between Brighton’s Esben and the Witch and Bristol's Thought Forms. It arrives in the wake of acclaimed records from both acts last year - the former with Wash the Sins Not Only the Face and the latter with Ghost Mountain.

The split record is a fevered snapshot of what was going on behind the scenes during the acts’ 2013 joint tour, and finds them both playing to their strengths: Thought Forms’ four tracks sounds like a tryst between J Mascis and Cocteau Twins, while EATW strip back their tribal sound further, revealing raw, primal impulses. You can stream the record via the embed below, and click here to visit the Invada Bandcamp page.
