Chicago alt. metal trio’s prog opus album Return To Annihilation was one of our top metal records of last year, with our columnist Toby Cook writing: "Owing as much to John Carpenter sound tracks as it does to the brilliantly torturous use of build and warmth so misunderstood by a million post-metal bands; magnificent isn’t the word".
Today, they’ve shared the J.P Bradburn-directed video for ‘A Visitation From The Wrath Of Heaven’ from the record, coinciding with the band announcing live shows in Europe in April (have a look below). We’ve got a first watch of the film, of which the band’s Terrence Hannum says: "John Bradburn has crafted a nightmare-like vision from our song by flipping personas, timelines, settings to muse upon the nature of surveillance and identity" – take a look above and get hold of the album at Relapse.
