George Clinton
Melody Maker journalist Simon Reynolds began visiting New York City in the late eighties, and when he got an assignment to interview George Clinton, he asked me along to take the pictures for the story. I got ten minutes with the man in an empty room at Warner Brothers' headquarters, and he could not keep a straight face. Not that I wanted him to. Both Simon and I were somewhat aghast that the Prince of P-Funk spent much of the afternoon expounding upon the funkiness of the bassist from Kajagoogoo.
