Oasis - New York City, July 1994
Tom says: “This photograph was taken on the band’s first trip to America; they were playing CMJ at Wetlands. Liam and I got off the bus so he could buy a Beatles T-shirt in Times Square. The band had just been shooting a section of a video they were making for ‘Live Forever’ which involved covering the drummer Tony McCarroll with earth so it looked like he was in a grave. We were heading back to the hotel when all of a sudden the sky got really dark, drops of rain the size of tennis balls started falling and we made a dash for it. While running across Times Square I grabbed this shot. It doesn't look like it in the picture, but there's a lot of panicking going on.”
