Last week, rock photography master hand Tom Sheehan opened a new exhibition, Analogue, at Lomography Gallery Store East in Old Spitalfields Market, London. Sheehan’s been photographing for upwards of four decades, taking in shots of Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Neil Young, The Smiths, Björk, John Lydon, Robert Smith and Ozzy Osbourne to name a few, working for Melody Maker, for which he was chief photographer, Mojo, Q, NME, The Times and The Observer among others in the process. For Analogue, Sheehan picked out a number of images from his archives and hand printed them for the exhibition, saying: "I love to shoot on film, it’s a medium that people remain interested in. The fact that it’s printed by hand has a universal appeal to all creative people. I’m not spiritually ready to completely shake off my past – I love digital but I like to go back to film once in a while.”
