Lakuna - ‘Lemongrass’
Lakuna is Dave Narcizo’s instrumental project. It’s really cool stuff. I played on some of it. He’s going to do another record soon. It’s a no rules attitude, that’s his main thing. He has a great overview on music. We just recorded the commentaries on Purgatory/Paradise, it’s like a movie commentary where you let the record play and you sit in the studio and talk. My input is retarded… stuff like, “Oh, my pedal broke that day.” Just meaningless drivel. And his is a 1970s filmic response to what’s going on. He’s always got the big picture going on and he’s very design-y. It’s big picture music and very design-y, very attractive. And it’s only just beginning now. He’s only made one record but he’s going to do more and go to a lot of places with it.
