A Winged Victory For The Sullen rework Gareth Malone's new choir Voices ahead of a four-night residency at Sadler's Wells

In August, we posted an unexpected choral cover of Death Grips' track 'Guillotine', which, it turns out, is one of the tracks set to feature on the forthcoming self-titled album by Voices, the new vocal ensemble set up and run by choirmaster Gareth Malone. The album's out on November 4 via Decca, and, alongside covers of Radiohead, Bon Iver and The Moody Blues among others, it features 'Now Sleeps The Crimson Petal', a new piece which takes the lead from Tennyson's poem of the same.

Ahead of Voices' release, the track has been handed over to pianist and film score composer Dustin O'Halloran and Adam Wiltzie of Stars Of The Lid, both deft touches when it comes to neo-classical ambient material, for a remix under their A Winged Victory For The Sullen guise, which we've got a first spin of - have a listen below:
