Remastered final album to be released, packaged with a host of previously unreleased tracks

Universal have announced that they'll be marking the 20th anniversary of Nirvana's In Utero with a mammoth, multi-format reissue of the album. The label are corralling "70 remastered, remixed, rare, unreleased and live recordings", including the complete MTV Live and Loud concert, into a number of versions, going from a straight remaster to the full "3-CD/1-DVD Super Deluxe Edition", all of which will be out on September 23.

Daniel Ross recently celebrated the album entering its third decade in a Quietus anniversary piece, stating: "[I]f you’re not counting the endearingly slap-dash bindle-bundle of session tracks and doodles that was Incesticide, In Utero is their howl at the moon, their schizophrenic apogee, their gunshot into the abyss."
