LISTEN: Girls Names (Factory Floor Remix)

Listen to Factory Floor's Gabe Gurnsey craft a driving, acid-flecked take on Girls Names' 'Projektions'

Belfast band Girls Names have just released a remix by Factory Floor’s Gabe Gurnsey of their track ‘Projektions’, taken from their second album The New Life, which was released earlier this year. In keeping with other recent mixes from Gurnsey, it’s a driving, acid-flecked club track, based around the persistent thrum of a drum machine rhythm and drawing in all manner of other incidental sounds as it goes. It’s taken from their upcoming EP The Next Life, which also gathers remixes of album tracks from The Soft Walls, Optimo, Locust and David Holmes. You can listen to it via the embed below:

In other Factory Floor-related news, the band recently announced that they will releasing their very long-awaited debut album on September 9 via DFA. This is, of course, Good News.
