Following yesterday’s trailer for The Icarus Line’s new album Slave Vows, the first of four we’ll be running this week, here’s another clip, featuring LP cut ‘Don’t Let Me’.
Says Joe Cardamone: "I have known Alvin DeGuzman for many years now. Most of my life. He has played in almost every position in this group. He was very hungry when we filmed this video. ‘Don’t Let Me’ is the closest Slave Vows comes to a track with a chorus. That said, it really doesn’t have one. There are phrases and hooks that repeat but that’s as far as we go. To force chorus sections on this record would have been wrong. Bonding truth to sound is a job for the failures and vanguards."
