LISTEN: Standish/Carlyon’s Deleted Scenes LP

A week ahead of its release, get your fill of oh-so-smooth pop from the Australian duo

As we’ve previously reported (several times, in fact, with new audio tidbits each time), former Devastations men Conrad Standish and Tom Carlyon are set to release their debut album of deliciously smooth, dubbed-out pop next week, May 14th. Released under the Standish/Carlyon moniker, it’s titled Deleted Scenes and, as we’ve hinted towards with previous streams of tracks including ‘Nono/Yoyo’, is rather a fetching listen. Listening to the latter track for the first time, tQ’s Luke Turner was moved to enthuse that "we’re hearing Gayngs, pop Scritti, say and a hint of yacht and some pubic lute … a killer piece of the sort of smooth we just love round here at tQHQ." In advance of its release next week we’re very pleased to be able to offer you a stream of the entire album. Pour yourself a tall glass of something chilled, recline, and listen in via the embed below.
