Laurie Tuffrey , April 26th, 2013 13:21

Former Bad Seeds collaborator covers unreleased Harvey track for new album FOUR (Acts Of Love)

Next Monday, April 29, singer-songwriter and long-term Nick Cave associate Mick Harvey releases his new album FOUR (Acts of Love) via Mute. His sixth solo album, it features a mixture of his original material alongside his interpretation of others' songs split into three acts, and notably includes a cover of an unreleased PJ Harvey track, 'Glorious'. Because it's the weekend, and because us and Mute are good to you, have a listen to that very track as a Friday evening treat:

Next weekend, Harvey's playing a set of interpretations of Serge Gainsbourg songs at the Yeah Yeah Yeahs-curated ATP I'll Be Your Mirror one-dayer at Alexandra Palace on May 4, and following it the day after with an album launch at The Lexington in London, before setting off for a month-long European tour (see below).

In the meantime, you can download another cut from FOUR (Acts of Love), 'I Wish That I Were Stone', and listen to a round-up of clips from the album's act 2, both below:
