Cut from new EP by Reject And Fade boss's musical project

Teeside electronic artist Rejections, aka Reject And Fade boss Michael Hann, today releases his new EP Vertical City on Jehu And Chinaman - have a listen to a track, 'Body Markings', from the record below:

Inspired by J.G. Ballard's High Rise (see the artwork, above), it's a deeply unhappy piece of industrial grind, with a droning rhythm emerging out of cyclical, dissipating metallic synths and pulsating noise waves. Stabs of distorted sonar-like sound fire across the stereo range like the final distress calls from a submarine teetering on the edge of some gargantuan abyss, before finally disappearing into the black with a steely, echoing scream.

Tune into Newcastle's basicFm on April 1 for an hour-long broadcast of original material by Rejections, as well as a new release on Opal Tapes later in the year.
