Mat Sweet is bringing his eerie, apocalyptic and, as of this year's Burnt Up On Re-Entry LP, electronically-charged atmospherics to Europe, touring with Jessica Bailiff. In advance of that, here's the new video for 'A Brilliant Shaft Of Light From Out Of The Night Sky' from the album.

The track's propulsive, crashing rhythms and gradual build to a kinetic surge chime with what Harry Sword wrote in our review of the album: "The power of space is writ large everywhere on Burnt Up On Re-Entry, the giddy weight of infinity, the feeling of soaring transcendent journey and ego death – it's all rather exhilarating stuff".

Sweet, alongside Clive Henry on bass, will also be playing as part of the live band for Jessica Bailiff, who will be drawing material from her entirely home-recorded At The Down-Turned Jagged Rim Of The Sky LP released by BS's former label Kranky last year.
