Gary Numan tells Quietus Editor John Doran how he celebrated his first taste of success with a caravan holiday, in the next instalment of Noisey's The British Masters series of short films: "Weymouth, Littlesea Holiday Camp, I used to go there with my mum and dad. When I had a little bit of success, I thought I'd go and rent one of the big caravans at the top of the hill, because I thought that's what you did. Simon Le Bon's going to Montserrat on his yacht and I'm renting a caravan in a little, tiny camp, thinking I was lording it up."

He also explains how a run-in with a ghost on the Underground inspired the cover of Replicas, and consequently gives John a tip for a prime Brazilian spoof YouTube clip - "fucking brilliant, the best TV I've ever seen" - as well as talking about his first encounter with a Moog synth and the impact of his Saturday Night Live performance.

Additionally, John has decided it's finally time to go on a diet after watching this short film.
