Pere Ubu man remixes a track by Roshi ft. Pars Radio, listen below

On 10th December, GEO Records are set to release a 7" by Roshi ft. Pars Radio entitled Don't Breathe It To A Soul But Amarilly Is Getting Gay With A Dude. The project is the work of a two artists in collaboration - Roshi Nasehi (pictured, right) and Graham Dowdall (who also works solo as Gagarin and has formerly worked with Nico, Pere Ubu, Cabaret Voltaire and more), and is hinged around interpretations of Roshi's own material and the Iranian songs she grew up with.

The material for this 7" comes from a score the duo composed for Mary Pickford's 1918 silent film Amarilly of Clothes Line Alley, which was premiered at the Southbank Centre's Purcell Room in March. The four minute title track is an extract from the score, and on the 7" it's reworked by four other artists: David Thomas of Pere Ubu (which appears on the 7"), NOW, You Are Wolf and Dowdall in his Gagarin guise (the three of which come with the digital edition). It's released on Dcember 10th as 7" and digital download, but in advance of its release, we're pleased to be able to offer a stream of David Thomas' stark and freaked-out remix. Listen to it above.
