LISTEN: New Joe Gideon & The Shark

Exclusive first play of 'Higher Power/Where Have All The Good Times Gone' from forthcoming new album

Brother and sister rockers Joe Gideon & The Shark are set to release their second album Freakish on January 7 via Bronze Rat Records, and we’ve got an exclusive first play of album cut ‘Higher Power/Where Have All The Good Times Gone’:

The cut’s a good sign of things to come, with its dynamic shift from building crescendos overlaid with piano arpeggios, into a gospel-esque coda driven by guttural guitar, all the time strung together with Gideon’s strident vocal. They’ll be continuing their run of impressive support slots, having previously opened for Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, with a set at the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion gig at London’s Electric Ballroom on December 3 – get tickets here.
