Andrew Hung of Fuck Buttons has just released his first single, 'Billowed Wind'/'Stumbling Room' (artwork above), as his new project Dawn Hunger, out via his own label Morning Joy.

Both are stuttering exercises in discordant electro, aided by wailed vocals from Claire Inglis - have a listen below:

It's purely a writing and production job for Hung, who won't be playing the tracks live, but leaving them to be performed by Inglis and Matthew de Pulford.

He says of the project: "Dawn Hunger was written for a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist to perform. I was interested in the concept of composing for musicians and not being involved in the live performance."

Sadly, the single launch at Dalston's Birthdays on November 26, which will feature the band supported by Rocketnumbernine and DJ sets from Hung, Jon Hopkins and Caribou, is already sold out, but keep an eye on the site for future live dates.
