Talking Heads man will hold three UK events to discuss themes from How Music Works

David Byrne is set to visit the UK to hold three special events discussing themes presented in his book How Music Works. Published by Canongate, it explores the joy and business of making music and how music is shaped by time and place. On his UK tour, David Byrne will be joined by musician and producer Matthew Herbert in London, Hacienda DJ Dave Haslam in Manchester and Chemikal Underground founder Alun Woodward in Glasgow.

Wed 24 – Curzon Cinema, London – Do We Need Any More Music?
Thurs 25 – The Royal Northern College, Manchester – Plug In, Tune Out; Does Music Matter Less in the Current Era?
Fri 26 – Glasgow Film Theatre, Glasgow – Stay Free – How to Survive As a Label and Artist
