Stream entire LP by duo of Charalambides' Tom Carter and Pete Swanson below

Sarin Smoke, the duo formed of Pete Swanson and Charalambides' Tom Carter, have just released their latest LP through MIE Music. Entitled Vent, it's the follow-up to 2007's Smokescreen, and finds them working within a ragged, electrified psychedelic framework, lashing meandering guitar runs to screaming background static, fizz and synthetic noise. It's both meditative and energising, and we're pleased to be able to offer the full LP stream below.

Sarin Smoke's Tom Carter has sadly been very ill since the LP was recorded, after contracting severe pneumonia on a recent tour with Charalambides. He's currently still in Europe being treated, and will require ongoing medical attention once he returns to the States. So Swanson has released a statement that the proceeds from the Sarin Smoke LP will be going towards funding his recovery.

"MIE Music and I have agreed to donate all profits from this new album to The Robert Thomas Carter Irrevocable Trust," reads the statement, "as well as release a very limited version of the album with hand-done covers by Ilyas Ahmed that will also include an exclusive cassette of music from Sarin Smoke. This set will be priced at a premium with the intention of encouraging people with more resources to consider supporting Tom." You can pick up Vent from the MIE Music site, and it's also out this week in shops.
