Uncle Acid: New Album & London Show

Band head into studio and prepare for first London headline show next year

Marvelous, mind-bending psychedelic rock behemoths Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats have recently signed to Rise Above Records, and have confirmed that they are working on their third studio album.

Says Uncle Acid: "Rise Above is the perfect home for us. Its great to work with a label who are fully supportive of our psychotic musical vision. We've already locked ourselves in the cellar to work on strange new music which will be dumped on you all next year."

It'll be the follow-up to 2011's scorching Blood Lust, which, along with their debut LP, Vol 1, was self-released and only available via mail order CD-R. For more on Uncle Acid, you can read our interview with the man himself from earlier this year here.

The band have also announced their first ever London headline show, which will be at The Garage on Friday 22 March 2013. Uncle A promises "a night of madness", saying: "We look forward to finally bringing our shambolic show of misery and disappointment to the thugs and thieves of old London town."

There'll be support from labelmates Purson, whose debut album The Circle And The Blood Door is set for release later this year/early 2013. Tickets are going fast, though, so get yours here before it's too late.
