LISTEN: Tythe Remixes David Lynch

Exclusive premiere of Tythe's remix of 'Stone's Gone Up' from forthcoming Lynch remix EP

As we reported last week, Sunday Best are putting out an EP of David Lynch remixes, released online on August 6 and on 12" vinyl on August 20. It collects together a series of remixes of songs from the Lynch's debut album Crazy Clown Time, which found him turning the distinctive, twisted vision he has displayed in his film-making into an album's worth of spooked and abrasive blues.

On the digital version, Sunday Best's own Tythe reworks the album track 'Stone's Gone Up', and here's a first listen of the remix:

Tythe is a new label signing, and says this: "With one arm reaching back to the safety of the past for inspiration, fingering my way through dusty '80s sci-fi soundtracks, krautrock and old hip hop records, my other arm stretches forward into an 'anything-goes' tombola, pulling out new Balearic sunset music, folk lullabies, abstract apocalyptic instrumentals and even one unabashed house track."

A full-length LP from Tythe is due out on Sunday Best in early 2013.
