Grizzly Bear: New Album, Tour

UPDATE: New album set for release on 17th September, to play UK shows in October

Warp’s purveyors of delicate folk-infused chamber pop, Grizzly Bear, have gone through a prolonged period of quiet after the release of 2009’s Veckatimest and its subsequent tours. The band’s Daniel Rossen has recently released an EP on Warp, and Chris Taylor has been recording and releasing music under the pseudonym CANT.

However, there are signs that all is rumbling back into action in the Grizzly Bear camp – they’ve just announced the release of Veckatimest‘s follow-up, which will see release through Warp on 17th September. No title as of yet, though we have a tracklist – see below – and you can listen to the new album’s opener, ‘Sleeping Ute’, below.

The new album’s tracklist will run as follows:

‘Sleeping Ute’

‘Speak In Rounds’

‘Adelma’

‘Yet Again’

‘The Hunt’

‘A Simple Answer’

‘What’s Wrong’

‘Gun-shy’

‘Half Gate’

‘Sun In Your Eyes’

UPDATE: In addition to their ATP London show this coming October (Brixton Academy on 22nd October, tickets are £22.50 plus booking fee, and will be available from here from Friday 9am), they’ve also announced a series of UK dates for the late summer and autumn. You can see the full list below.
