Watch video, released ahead of tour dates in support of new album Third Mouth

Alexander Tucker recently released his sixth solo album, Third Mouth via Thrill Jockey, following up last year’s Dorwytch, one of our favourite albums of 2011. Ahead of some dates Alexander is playing, he’s put out a video for album cut ‘Andromeon’, filmed with Serena Korda. The track is a “sci-fi-influenced cosmic meditation”, seeing Alexander picking up his love of the drone, more sound montage than song, and all the better for it. The video features the singer poring over some microfilm, intercut with footage of a sinister, glowing-eyed figure (who looks a bit like a taller, hoodie-clad cousin of these guys) and skyward-gazing shots, an apt accompaniment to the airy wash of voices the track layers up.
