Ex-LCD Soundsystem man James Murphy played a 50-minute set as part of the Red Bull Music Academy’s takeover of the Boiler Room two weeks back. Kicking off the set with the swirling, glitchy joy that is Begin’s ‘ELATE’, Murphy also drops Caribou’s remix of Virgo Four’s hazy ‘It’s a Crime’, with all its spring reverb-crashing, bass-thump glory, and an extended version of Chicago’s 1969 percussion masterclass ‘I’m A Man’ into the mix.
