If you’re stuck for something to do tonight you could do far worse than head across to Dalston for a slice of sun-frazzled instrumental psychedelia. Italian four-piece Ronin, who play heavy, country-leaning psych that touches on Morricone and Sun City Girls, are playing live at London’s Vortex tonight. Featuring Bruno Dorella of Ovo, they’re in town to promote their upcoming album Fenice, which is released on 26th February.
In support is Petrels, aka Bleeding Heart Narrative’s Oli Barrett, whose pretty, static-cloaked electronics give clear nods to the likes of Leyland Kirby and Kranky artists like Stars Of The Lid.
Tickets are £6 in advance from here, or buy on the door for £8.
