Bristol dubstep don and head of Tectonic label warms up for his Fabriclive CD with a mix of 'mostly quite new techno white labels'

Bristol dubstep producer and Tectonic label boss Pinch has a great addition to the Fabriclive CD series due for release on 16th January. As well as featuring heavy, deep Tectonic-style dubstep, it also spends some time in the halfway territory between dubstep, house and techno that so many of his Bristolian contemporaries currently inhabit, with tracks from the likes of Equalized, Boddika & Joy Orbison and Distal.

In advance of its release he's recorded a shorter mix of newer material, which is available to stream below. Cheekily titled the 'Oh No Not Another Dubstep DJ Playing House Music' mix, it's largely composed of new, very bassy house and techno tracks.

The mix is largely meant to promote the very weighty looking launch party at Fabric on Friday 13th January, which features Hessle Audio in Room 1, Tectonic in Room 2 and Hoya:Hoya in Room 3. The full-line-up is as follows:

Room One: Hessle Audio
Pearson Sound, Kode 9, Ben UFO, Pangaea, Icicle (LIVE), Jam City, Kowton
MCs: Chunky, LX One

Room Two: Tectonic - Pinch Fabriclive Launch
Pinch, Loefah (Foundation Set), 2562, Peverelist, Om Unit, Distance, Blazey
MCs: Crazy D, Dread

Room Three: Hoya:Hoya
Lone, Illum Sphere, Eclair Fifi, Jon K, Platt, Johnny Dub

And finally, there's a trailer for Fabriclive.61 below to act as teaser.
