Alessio Natalizia gives away his latest festive collection

Since 2009, Alessio Natalizia, aka Banjo Or Freakout, aka one half of Kompakt-signed cosmic house duo Walls, has put out a Christmas album at the end of each year. He's just made his latest available for free download (for the first 1000 listens, then it becomes a 'name your price' deal).

XA2011 contains versions of such shopping centre stalwarts as 'Wonderful Christmas Time' and 'Winter Wonderland', all given the sort of woozy, bedroom pop makeover you'd expect from Natalizia's Banjo Or Freakout project.

Read about the album at Banjo Or Freakout's blog, and you can listen and free download at his Bandcamp page.

"It features 9 songs that you might have heard before or not," says Natalizia in the accompanying blurb, "and it comes a little later because I wasn't really going to do a xmas album this year, but then since I was sick at home for the last week I decided to have a go at it . . . This year's album is quite different from the previous ones... Some of these songs are way less popular than the ones I've covered before and in general this one is a bit more 'crazy', but I think it goes quite well with the other two..."
