LISTEN: Tom Morello Interviews Perry Farrell

Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine interviewed Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction recently and you can listen to the results below.

The band have long held a special place in the hearts of the Quietus, especially for their monumental Nothing's Shocking LP, so it came as a great relief to hear that The Great Escape Artist was a fine album in its own right and not a rehash of the lacklustre Strays from 2003.

The sound of the album goes back to Perry Farrell's pre JA roots in Psi-Com and the gothic rock scene of mid 1980s downtown LA. The singer is joined by Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins and Dave Sitek.

The inclusion of the TV On The Radio man on bass and song writing duties has proved a shot in the arm for the veteran group bringing out some of their twisted and lusty glamour of yore.

As we reported earlier in the year the album also features Moroccan Sufi legends, The Master Musicians Of Joujouka on 'End To The Lies'.
