'Angelo' now streaming! There's a rapper!

The Quietus is very pleased to bring you a brand new track from EMA, whose album Past Life Martyred Saints is one of our favourites this year. 'Angelo' is an intriguing new direction for EMA, and features Oalkand rapper Mz'Gorjis. Says EMA of the collaboration, "I first saw Mz'Gorjis perform at the Black Cowboy Parade in West Oakland. It was fantastic. Later when I was looking for a rapper to guest on Angelo I thought of her. The song is about Oakland and the different ways people try to make a name for themselves there. Her local connection was important to me. I find her performance on the track to be graceful and refined." 'Angelo' is the b-side to new single 'Marked', which is limited to 1000 copies and out November 21st. The first 200 are clear vinyl and can be pre-ordered now from Souterrain Transmissions.
