Razorlight To Headline German Goth Fest
John Doran , February 1st, 2011 13:37

George Formby-inspired Television covers band, Razorlight have just announced that they are playing Wave-Gotik-Treffen in 2011. The 'Wave Gothic Meeting' is a 25,000 capacity, four-day festival in Leipzig, Germany, provides a much needed social support network for men who like to dress as cowboys and discuss elves in public.

Johnny Borrell, creator and vocalist of Razorlight, was influenced from a very young age by a 'dark culture', aiding his decision to pursue a career in art and music. He embraced the world of the occult and portrayed the apocalyptic climate of the American Wild West and it was America’s discordant past that inspired such songs as, 'Sliplight Fries', 'Where's Me Fags?' and 'I Wish I Was In The Libertines'. This follows the news that Razorlight's artistic brothers in arms Fields Of The Nephilim are to play Guilfest.
