Stuart Huggett , October 26th, 2010 07:31

Track will be released as tribute to Ari Up

Former Slits guitarist Viv Albertine has announced on Twitter that she and bandmate Tessa Pollitt are preparing to release the band’s final song, following the death of singer Ari Up last week.

"Me and Tessa are going to release last ever Slits song 'Coulda Shoulda Woulda' from 1981 on cassette. We will hand draw covers. A healing thing", Albertine wrote.

Albertine’s obituary for "the most dynamic woman I have ever known" has been posted on her MySpace page, and you can read it here.
