Radiohead picks LA star to join him for US dates

Everyone's favourite grump Thom Yorke has revealed that Flying Lotus will provide the support for his forthcoming solo tour.

With Yorke set to play a series of live shows with his backing band 'Atoms For Peace', he announced on the Radiohead blog Dead Air Space that Flying Lotus, who release new album Cosmogramma on May 3, will join him for the majority if his American dates.

The Radiohead singer will also appear on Cosmogramma as a guest vocalist.

“ok so in April the other band.. that i got together to do the eraser and other stuff u know .. Mauro, Flea, Me, Joey and Nigel is going back out to do some shows in the US.. ending with playing with Coachella. we had too much fun to just leave it there... these are the shows & Flying Lotus is opening for us," he wrote.

Flying Lotus will provide support for Yorke on the following shows:

April 5 & 6 Roseland Ballroom, New York

April 8 Wang Theatre, Boston

April 10 & 11 Aragon Ballroom, Chicago

April 14 & 15 Fox Theatre, Oakland
