Exciting times!

Quietus favourites Esben & The Witch have announced details of a debut single and UK tour for 2010.

The Brighton-based three-piece will release 'Lucia, At The Precipice' with the B-side 'They Use Smiles To Bury You' as a 7" on February 8th next year. They previously told The Quietus that the song is about James Joyce's daughter, who was treated by Sigmund Freud.

Their previous EP _33_ can also be downloaded here, and you can read our Escape Velocity interview here.

Esben will also be playing a number of live shows, including a date organised by The Quietus at Madame JoJos on January 5 next year.

The dates are as follows:

December 16 - Cargo, London

January 10 - Madame JoJos, London

February 5 - Hobby Horse, London

February 7 - The Prince Albert, Brighton

February 10 - The Harley, Sheffield

February 11 - The Deaf Institute, Manchester

February 12 - Library, Lancaster

February 13 - The Jericho, Oxford
