Frank Black has revealed that there's been zero progress in writing any new Pixies material.

"There isn't really anything to report in that department. In terms of any new Pixies records, I'm in the dark," he told Music Radar "We're active insofar as our old repertoire is concerned. We're not active in terms of anything new.

"At this stage of the game, we're not trying to reinterpret the music. We're more about replicating records and replicating certain expectations rather than getting all jazzed about it."

The Pixies will be flogging this tuneful horse around various venues throughout the autumn.
