Glastonbury Weather Forecast: What Do The Druids Think?

Advice from the learned and mystical cultural guardians

With everyone fretting about this year's Glastonbury weather forecast, The Quietus decided to steer away from conventional temperature-related advice and seek a more well-rounded, expert opinion.

And who better to ask than druids, the ancient order of spiritual beings who maintain a deep-rooted link to our natural environment?

Emma Restall Orr, a member of the Druid Network, said: "So many people complain about the rain at Glastonbury, but we do need it. It makes Britain fertile and beautiful, so it's something we should celebrate, not curse or try and avoid".

With that in mind, here is the Druids survival guide to Glasto:

Make the most of the weather--whatever it is

"Enjoy the weather, celebrate it, whatever! It's the mix of rain and sunshine that makes Britain so beautiful."

Don't park yourself at the nearest burger and chips van

"Eat good ethical organical food. Try something new from one of the ethical places onsite."

Take time to retreat from the blaring music and relax

"Factor in some good chill out time, sometime during the day or night. Find quiet to relax alone, even just for ten minutes: find some peace."

Get in touch with your mystical side

"Visit the stone circle. Walk it a few times, feel its calm and how it sits deeply rooted in the landscape."

Respect nature

"Don't make a mess or abandon your rubbish, and thank the spirit of the land when you leave."
